Carol Couto
Carol Couto is a Brazilian social scientist, software developer, and founder of AXVO. Her work brings together social research, data analysis, and technology to transform complex social challenges into evidence-driven solutions. Throughout her career, she has conducted qualitative research in Sociology and Anthropology, developing extensive fieldwork experience and a deep understanding of the structural dynamics that shape inequality. Her international academic experience broadened this perspective, strengthening an interdisciplinary approach to social analysis. She later worked in market research and qualitative data analysis, helping organizations transform complex human experiences into strategic insights for decision-making. She subsequently expanded her expertise into quantitative data analysis, Python programming, workflow automation, and Artificial Intelligence, integrating social science with technological development. This unique combination of scientific research, data analysis, and software engineering led to the creation of AXVO, a research-driven technology company dedicated to developing digital solutions that expand human capabilities, support decision-making, and address complex social challenges. Among these initiatives is AMPARO, a social technology platform created to strengthen the protection of domestic workers while generating high-quality longitudinal data capable of supporting research, evidence-based public policies, and institutional decision-making.
